Personal profile

Dr. Heather Dichter is a specialist in sport history, with a focus on diplomacy and twentieth century Europe.  She studied history at the University of Michigan (B.A.) and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (M.A.) before her doctoral studies at the University of Toronto, where she earned her Ph.D. in 2008.

Her publications focus on sport and diplomacy, particularly involving the postwar occupation of Germany and during the Cold War.
