All foundation and undergraduate programmes are available only as full-time programmes, taught during the day.

All postgraduate programmes are available as:

  • Full-time (1 year programme taught mostly during the evenings and on weekends) or
  • Part-time (2 year programmes, taught mostly during the evenings and on weekends)

Scholarships and discounts

˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai offers a range of scholarships and discounts to eligible applicants, including:

Discounts

 

  1. Early Application Discounts

    • An Early Application Discount (EAD) will be awarded to any student (Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate) applying and paying their tuition fee deposit before midnight on the required deadline.
    • ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai Foundation Degree students who are progressing to their Undergraduate degree in September 2024 are not eligible to apply for this discount, but instead may receive a discount of 7500 AED if they apply by 15 March 2024, or 5000 AED by 5 April 2024.
    • To avail of this discount, students must apply and pay a non-refundable deposit of 10% against their tuition fee within 5 working days of receiving their offer. UAE based students must also provide the required post-dated cheques for their tuition fees.
    • This discount is applicable for students who have received an Unconditional Offer Letter or a Conditional Offer Letter from the university.
    • ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai reserves the right to extend EAD offers and will publish any extensions to the above deadlines on its website.
  2. Full Advance Payment Discount

    A discount of 3% of the net annual tuition fee will be awarded to any student, (Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate) who pays their annual tuition fee in full before 1st September 2024 for the September intake. If an offer letter is sent to the student after the deadline, then to avail the full advance fee payment discount the student must pay the full annual tuition fee within 7 days of receiving the offer.

    • To avail this discount, fees must be paid in full in cash, by current dated cheque, or through bank transfer.
    • A student who first pays a non-refundable deposit of their fees (and post-dated cheques, in the case of UAE based students) to confirm their place for the chosen programme, and then decides to pay the tuition fee in full will also be eligible for this discount.
    • International students, who pay their fees in full, are also eligible to apply for this discount.
    • The discount will be calculated on the net tuition fee, after deducting any other applicable scholarship(s) or discount(s) received by the student.
  3. Corporate Discount

    Groups of three or more students working in the same organization and applying & enrolling for any of the postgraduate programmes for the same academic year and intake will be eligible to the following discount upon enrolment:

    • 3-5 students: 15%
    • 6-10 students: 25%
    • 10+ students: 30%
    • Students need to submit evidence that they are all currently working for the same organization: this will ordinarily be in the form of an employment letter, payslip or company identification.
    • The discount applies to applicants from the same organization regardless of the country they are employed in.
    • The discount applies to applicants enrolling in postgraduate programmes in the same intake only.
    • The discount will be applied only after the enrolment of the whole group in the relevant intake.
  4. Family Discount

    Family Discounts of 3,000 AED will be offered when two or more students from the same immediate family enrol for any Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate programme.

    • Immediate family members are defined as parents, spouse, and siblings. Evidence to demonstrate this will be required, which could include passport, birth or marriage certificate copies.
    • This scholarship will not apply to the first enrolled student, but only to subsequent (the second, third, etc.) family members.
    • This scholarship will only apply for every year of study if there are two or more active and enrolled immediate family members paying their fees in the same academic year.
  5. Students with Determination Discount

    A discount of up to 30% of the tuition fee will be offered to students who have a disability (defined as physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on a student’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities), exceptionality or any other factor that may affect a student's access to learning and educational performance.

    • Supporting evidence in the form of a medical certificate or report will ordinarily be required.
    • This discount will be open to applicants for any of the Foundation or Undergraduate programmes.
    • This discount will apply for every year of study that the university offers this discount and where the student continues to fulfil the criteria as set out above.
  6. Admissions Event Discounts

    Applicants attending Open Days may be eligible for specific Admissions Event discounts, which will be published on the ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai website in advance of the event.

    • ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai is occasionally able to consider additional requests for financial support for exceptional candidates or for those in challenging circumstances.
    • Interested applicants should attend an Admissions Event to discuss this with one of the ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai team.

Scholarships and awards

  1. International Year Zero Progression Award

    ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai students who have successfully completed its International Year Zero programme and wish to progress to a ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai undergraduate programme are eligible for a discount of 30% (distinction) or 25% (pass) on the undergraduate gross tuition fee.

  2. International Students Scholarship

    International Student Scholarships of up to 40% of the tuition fee will be offered to a maximum of 50 students.

    • This scholarship will be open to all international applicants to any of the Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
    • These scholarships will be awarded to students demonstrating excellence in academia, sports, or community engagement.
    • Students with non-UAE citizenship or permanent residency and who have been resident overseas for at least the last twelve months are eligible to apply for International Student Scholarships.
    • These scholarships will ordinarily apply for one year only. Students on programmes lasting more than one year may be invited to apply for subsequent years of scholarship based on their performance and engagement in the previous year.
  3. Sports Scholarship

    A Scholarship of up to 30% of the gross annual tuition fee for up to 30 students will be offered to students who have excelled in any sport at the national or international level.

    • This scholarship will be open to applicants for any of the Foundation or Undergraduate programmes.
    • Students who are awarded this scholarship are expected to engage in their chosen sport on behalf of the University.
    • These scholarships will ordinarily apply for one year only. Students on programmes lasting more than one year may be invited to apply for subsequent years of scholarship based on their performance and engagement in the previous year.
  4. Community Engagement Scholarship

    A Scholarship of up to 30% of the gross annual tuition fee for up to 30 students will be offered to students who have made a demonstrable and positive contribution to their community at a local level or national level.

    • This scholarship will be open to applicants for any of the Foundation or Undergraduate programmes.
    • Students who are awarded this scholarship are expected to engage in their chosen community engagement activity at the University’s events.
    • These scholarships will ordinarily apply for one academic year only. Students on programmes lasting more than one year may be invited to apply for subsequent years of scholarship based on their performance and engagement in the previous year.
  5. Postgraduate Excellence Awards

    A scholarship of up to 30% is available for students applying for any postgraduate programme, and will be awarded to those applicants demonstrating excellence in academia, sports, or community engagement.

    • Students who are awarded this scholarship are expected to continue to engage in their recognised area of excellence whilst at the University.
  6. Alumni Scholarship

    An Alumni Scholarship of 25% on the tuition fee will be offered to students applying for any postgraduate programme.

    • The student should have completed an undergraduate degree at ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai or ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Leicester to avail of this scholarship.
  7. Academic Merit Scholarships

    Academic Merit Scholarships will be offered to Undergraduate students who have achieved high scores in their previous education.

    • Students who have completed a Foundation degree at a university other than ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai are also eligible for this scholarship. Students who have completed the International Year Zero at ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai will not be eligible for this scholarship and are instead eligible for the International Year Zero progression award.
    • Postgraduate students are not eligible for Academic Merit Scholarships.
    • All decisions regarding scholarship eligibility are at the discretion of the ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai Admissions team and/or relevant Subject Head after evaluating scores of individual relevant subjects.
    • Those eligible for an Academic Merit Scholarship will receive either a 20%, 25% or 30% discount of their gross tuition fees.
    • The value of the Academic Merit Scholarship is dependent on the student’s marks in their previous education.

    • The Academic Merit Scholarship offered will be calculated on the gross tuition fee of the first year.
    • Students will continue to be eligible for an Academic Merit Scholarship at the same value in each subsequent year of study if all of the following criteria are met:
      • The student was awarded an Academic Merit Scholarship in their previous year of study.
      • The student continues studying at the ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ Dubai Campus on an undergraduate programme.
      • An overall average mark of 70% is achieved by the student in each subsequent year of study (including where marks have been rounded up to 70% during the assessment board process).

Payments

All students will be charged an application processing fee of AED 500, which is non-refundable and covers the cost of processing your application. All students will need to pay the first instalment (equivalent to 10% of the first year fee along with a refundable security deposit of AED 2,000/-) at the time of accepting the offer in order to secure a place on the programme.

Undergraduate fees are guaranteed for the duration of the study.

In accordance with the University’s Finance Regulations, all fees, and charges due, unless otherwise stated, are payable by students to the University in advance of enrolment as a student of the University or subject to one of the available payment options.

Students from the UAE can either pay the full tuition fee for the academic year in advance or take advantage of our tuition fee instalment payment plan.

  1. UAE resident students only:

    • 10% of annual tuition fees non-refundable payment must be made by all students on acceptance of offer.
    • 90% remaining balance of tuition fees can be paid as follows:
      • 9 instalments for IYZ and Undergraduate programmes
      • 9 instalments for full-time postgraduate students
      • 19 post-dated cheques for part-time students (two-year course)

Students from outside the UAE who require university visa sponsorship can either pay the full tuition fee for the academic year in advance or pay it in 4 equal instalments.

  1. International students only:

    • 10% of annual tuition fees must be paid by all students on acceptance of offer
    • 15% to be paid with the 10% payment (total 25%) if you require a university visa sponsorship
    • If a visa sponsorship is not required, 15% to be paid by the start date for the course

    Note: once visa sponsorship application process has commenced, the 25% paid will become non-refundable

    The remaining 75% to be paid in 3 equal instalments

  1. Paying remotely

    To pay your fees remotely, email a signed copy of your offer letter to finance.dubai@dmu.ac.uk to confirm course and tuition fee for the course, and acceptance of the conditions of the offer to study with ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿.

    Payment of this deposit can be made via bank transfer:

    • Use the bank details below
    • Email the payment confirmation from your bank to finance.dubai@dmu.ac.uk
    • Receipt will be issued once we have successfully traced your payment to the ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿ bank account

    Paying at your bank or at an HSBC branch in Dubai

    To pay at a bank, email a signed copy of your offer letter to finance.dubai@dmu.ac.uk to confirm course and tuition fee for the course, and acceptance of the conditions of the offer to study with ˽·¿¾ãÀÖ²¿.

    Payment of this deposit can be made using the following options:

    • Cash deposited at a counter at your bank or an HSBC branch
    • Bank transfer at a branch of your bank
      • Email the payment confirmation from your bank to finance.dubai@dmu.ac.uk along with the signed Offer Letter
