This group will not resolve your grief, but it can help you to accept that life will be different now. Life can be OK again.
- Sometimes a person feels isolated or geographically remote from family and close friends when they have experienced a loss.
- When a person experiences grief it can be helpful to know about typical patterns of grief. It helps to make sense of the anger, guilt, sadness and fear they may be feeling.
- This group provides a place to talk, to receive validation of feelings and emotions from people who have experienced the same.
- The group also provides the opportunity to listen to others who have experienced loss and to learn through shared experience.
The group provides a safe place where you can tell your story and express your emotions freely knowing others will be understanding, non-judgmental and supportive. The group is facilitated by trained counsellors from the Wellbeing Team.
